**UPDATE 6/7/24: I want to thank everyone so much who has played and left feedback on my game. I was not expecting on getting much attention on this project, so I have been both overwhelmed and completely uplifted by seeing so many people play and enjoy my game. The general consensus seems to be that the game is too hard, so I have balanced the game considerably so that the first half will hopefully be more manageable and enjoyable for players while still maintaining a greater challenge in the latter levels. I have also removed a few sneaky objects that the player could get stuck on. I hope this leads to a more pleasant experience! Once again, thank you so much for playing, it means the world to me. **

A challenging game in which you play as a witch who is down to her last spell and must make a last stand. You must survive waves of enemies as you make your way through the dungeon with only 1HP! It's a fast paced action / shooter with bullet hell elements. It's definitely a difficult game, but I tried my best to make it fair (1hp is difficult no matter what...)

Here are some tips that I didn't mention in the controls in-game:

- You can hold down left click to fire faster / consistently

- Your dash has invincibility frames and can be used in rapid succession! Use this to dodge through enemies / projectiles and gain distance from enemies.

-Each room has a set amount of enemies that will spawn, so try your best to clear each  room, but note that each door has a timer so that it will unlock usually around  10-15 seconds so you can technically progress without defeating every enemy.

This is my submission for the Game Dev TV 2024 Game Jam! It was my first jam, so it was a lot of fun and I learned a lot. It definitely has some bugs that I couldn't get worked out in time, so if you encounter any severe ones... I apologize. In particular, please let me know if you have any issues with the window size / scaling in your browser. Also, collision / shooting is a bit funky when colliding with the top wall blocks, so if you get stuck / dash out of bounds, you can hit escape to reset the game. Other than that, I hope the game runs smoothly on your end! Any feedback is appreciated!

I hope you enjoy the game!

Not the most original idea but it was implemented pretty well. It had smooth gameplay and it can be a fun timewaster. I'd recommend some refining the tile placement, water fountains are usually attached to a wall or a column with impassable terrain, and it would be a good idea to disable player movement after death. If you are planning on working some more on it I would consider adding the option to upgrade projectile size and rate of fire. I would also consider a dodge cooldown that can be reduced if you insist on not adding any more attacks/spells. All in all, it is a good game, especially considering it is your first Jam.

It's annoying to have to replay the old levels to get to the later levels. I recommend either randomizing stuff so the earlier levels stay interesting and make it a Roguelike, or make it so you can save and you don't have to replay a whole bunch that you're bored of just to get another shot at a later room.

Really like the art style and I already died to the first boss multiple times, those cats! :D

Thank you so much! I used different art assets from creators here on itch, so I'm glad it all came together :) I should probably make the game a bit easier I think. Thanks so much for playing!
